Awards honor those who help schools, students excel

"It was nice to be recognized by Superintendent Runcie [at the awards]; we've been very pleased with our relationship with the school district," Seth Levit, executive director at the Jason Taylor Foundation, said. "The school system has things in place to service kids who are bullied. But when Jason Taylor, Ronnie Brown and Davone Bess say no to bullying, or promote something positive, it adds awareness and credibility, and kids believe it more. We'd much rather put out fires, head things off at the pass and get kids on the right path."  The Outstanding School-Based Partnerships of the Year awards went to West Broward High School with Condee Farm, Sunset School with ArtServe and Tradewinds Elementary with Share-A Pet.
